Scholarships

  • Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship (AR Lottery Scholarship)
  • ​The YOUniversal Scholarship application will be available for high school seniors (and all other applicants) to apply for the Academic Challenge Scholarship, Governor's Scholarship and all other ADHE programs on January 1, 2013
  • Students who attempt to apply prior to January will create an account, but will not create any applications. They must log into their ADHE account after January 1 and click on the reapply link. This will take them through the search questions and create applications for all programs for which they appear to be eligible.
  • The application deadlines:
  • Governor's Scholarship Program (Governor's Scholars and Governor's Distinguished Scholars) - February 1, 2013
  • All other ADHE programs (including Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarship) - June 1, 2013​
  • To apply: go to http://www.adhe.edu. Go to the "YOUniversal" link and follow the directions. This includes the Arkansas Governor's Scholars, GO! Opportunities Grant, Arkansas National Guard Tution Incentive Program, Law Enforcement Officers' Dependents Scholarships, Military Dependents Scholarship Program, Teacher Opportunity Program and Workforce Improvement Grant.

  • United State​s Senate Youth Program (USSYP)
  • Deadline is October 5, 2012 for the exceptional program and scholarship. Two student leaders from each state will be selected to spend one week (March 9-16, 2013) in Washington, DC observing the national government in action as delegates to the US Senate Youth Program. After conferencing with national leaders on Capitol Hill and at the White House, Supreme Court, Pentagon, and Department of State, each delegate is awarded a $5,000 scholarship. This is a lifetime experience; expenses are all paid by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. Applicants must be Juniors or Seniors interested in government and political science and be in school.  Applicant must currently hold an elective office in a student government, civic, or educational organization.
