FAFSA Pin Number
- Apply for the FAFSA Pin!
- All seniors and their parents need to apply for a FAFSA Pin Number.
- Whether you plan for further your education now or not, all students and their parents need to obtain one.
- Apply for a PIN number at http://www.pin/ed.gov. You will need to know your date or birth and social security number. The PIN number will be the first part of the FAFSA filing process.
- Reminder to all, this is grant money (free money).
- ​Students will be able to obtain a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Information Center at 1-800-4FED-Aid (1-800-433-3243).
- Students may request up to three copies of the paper application and should recieve their FAFSAs in three to seven business days.
- Today, the preferred way to submit is online. Applying should take place for this year's seniors somewhere after January 1, 2013 (income tax work should be completed prior to filling out the FAFSA).
